The ARTEMIDE GROUP founded by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza in 1959, today operates throughout the world, through 15 sudsidiary and affiliated companies, and 34 exclusive distributors. They have production centres in Italy, France, Germany, the USA, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In a policy aimed at satisfying all lighting needs, the Artemide Group has recently acquired companies that reinforce its position as a world leader and further diversifies the offerings.
For context of life: Artemide offers not only lamps for moments of relaxation at home, but also large sophisticated installations for lighting public and private professional activities. Technological and productive expertise is acheived through Research and Development Centres, with the product planning and engineering section, laboratories for technical conformity and self-certification tests, and production units equipped with avant-garde processes. Lighting performance characteristics: extend from a light with atmosphere, variable, coloured, to the most precise of lights for community environments.
For more than 40 years, the Artemide Group has aimed to propose light as a companion to people, as a source of physical and mental comfort. As they have done so, with different work groups, searching through the whole design process, starting with a declaration of values: THE HUMAN LIGHT.

Artemide Metamorfosi
The point of departure of Artemide research into a new liveable concept of light, Metamorfosi is the revolutionary polychrome lighting device that, through a simple remote control, allows different beams of coloured light to be combined. To give light back its sense of colour, with all the symbolic and beneficial effects.
Artemide Collezione
The hand crafting and reinterpretation of materials belonging to the acient tradition of ”imaginary” design linked to functionality. Extraordinary light reflexes and original colour tones are brought to life through the transparency of glass presented in all its variations.
Artemide Modern Classic
Eleven lamps designed in the sixties for Artemide by the leading Italian designers and architects. Real cult objects, the lamps of the Modern Classic collection symbolise the first ten years of the history of Artemide, coinciding with the birth and the world success of Italian design.
Artemide a.l.s.o.
A collection of multiperformance ”light objects” created to allow the integrated management of significant environmental parameters: light, sound, air. The synergy of the various technologies combined into individual objects allows control and personalisation of one’s own micro-and/or macro-environments.
